UPDATED POLICY DOCUMENTS DUE SOON

At the time the new JPC took office in May 2019, many of the JPC protocols were found to be in arrears and not in keeping with the latest legislation. In order to comply with the law, namely, The Local Government Act 1972, The Localism Act 2011 and The Local Government Finance Act 1992, the Clerk compiled the 2020 Councillor’s Handbook. This has stood in good stead for over 12 months, but it is now time to go back and review all the present policy documents using the expertise, skillsets and experience of a number of the new JPC membership. The new range of policies will be based on NALC model forms, adapted and revised to suit the requirements of the residents and councillors of the JPC, in order to provide a comprehensive and legally sound foundation for all the business conducted by the Beaudesert & Henley in Arden corporate body. For the time being, please continue to refer to the following handbook if you requires an explanation or guidance on what your JPC are doing for you and the community.
