Due to a widening scope on the subject of grass cutting in Henley, the JPC have postponed the appointment of a contractor to engage in this area of maintenance until the November meeting. However, please try to attend tonight and hear from the PayBack Team on their strategy for help in keeping Henley in good order. Clerk.

PLANNING MEETING MONDAY 12TH JUNE

Due to a lack of planning applications received from the district authority, the Planning Meeting for next Monday has been cancelled. The scheduled meeting for the following month, Monday 17th July, will take place and any applications received with a closing date prior to this date, will be discussed, and if appropriate, an opinion lodged on the SDC Portal and then reiterated on the 17th. Dates for Planning meetings posted on this website thereafter will be reviewed on each occasion.

NEW COUNCIL

At the AGM held on Monday 15th May last, eight members declared their acceptance to take on the office as a Member of the Beaudesert & Henley in Arden Joint Parish Council. They can be found on the Councillors & Clerk pages of this website.

BUSY MONTH!

The Coronation of King Charles III will be marked by celebrations around Henley, in particular fun and entertainment in the Guild Hall Gardens organised by the Guild Hall Trust and fully supported and funded by the JPC, who will be distributing hundreds of Coronation Mugs at the event. God Save the King!

On the 15th is the JPC AGM and as decisions and plans will be set out that affect us all in Henley, I urge you to come along. At the annual event, a new Chair will be elected by the new members of the Council and important matters will be debated.

THE ANNUAL PARISH ASSEMBLY MEETING

The Assembly meeting was due to take place on the 3rd next but as the Chair of the JPC will not be available, this is now postponed until a later date when the JPC will invite all societies, clubs, and associations to join them to reflect on their activities in the year past and their plans for the coming year. Date to be advised but no later than 1st of June 2023.
