FIRST EVER FAIR FOR SELF PUBLISHED AUTHORS ATTRACTED OVER TWO-HUNDRED VISITORS
On Sunday 17th, the first book fair for self-published authors was held at the Memorial Hall in Henley in Arden. There were over forty authors, several who were rated Top Ten on Amazon Prime and Kindle. The authors came from all over the UK, from Wales, London and as far away as Brighton. They brought with them a vast range of books from crime, detective series, romance, gangsters, vampires, fantasy, historical fact and fiction, young adult books, books about the local area, and poetry books called ‘Poems your Parents wouldn’t like’.
Though the weather was poor, there were a keen, enthusiastic audience, chatting to the authors and buying many signed books for themselves, and as Christmas presents from family and friends. A unique gift they couldn’t buy anywhere else.
