HENLEY HIGH STREET DRAINS – JET WASHING PROGRAMME NOW IN OPERATION

Warwickshire Highways have responded to recent requests from the JPC for better maintenance of High Street drains [Gullies] and are happy to report that maintenance is now in progress until the 17th of the month. Though not the complete solution to Henley’s flooding problems, it does help enormously. The JPC have now created a flood defence team made of councillors and members of the public, who will be pressing for more investigation and where appropriate, intervention in relieving water accumulating hot spots such as the old bridge at the Bird in Hand and Back Lane. Look out for further information on this website.
