‘NO MOW MAY’ TO BE REVIEWED BY JPC FOR 2024

The JPC have been inundated with residents’ concerns about overgrown grass verges and green spaces this summer. This followed the JPC’s decision to align the town with others in the district in the ‘NO MOW MAY’ campaign, designed to protect the propogation of small mammals and insects.

This created a huge backlog for county, district and the joint parish council and sadly, had a direct and damaging effect on the graveyard at St. Nicholas Church which is maintained free of charge to the Church by the PayBack team.

The JPC has responded to all the complaints raised to date, and promised that the matter WILL BE REVIEWED next spring before setting any hard and fast plans in place.

Talks are in progress between the JPC, Stratford District and WCC Highways, to ensure that all are working in the interests of the residents of Beaudesert & Henley, and an update will be issued shortly.

Here are the areas defined by SDC as their repnsibility, the JPC will similarly create mapping showing their responsibilities as will WCC Highways.
