POLLARDING HIGH STREET TREES

HIGH STREET LIMES

Though we are lucky to be blessed with our wonderful avenue of Lime Trees on the High Street, the overgrown canopies are now brushing against many of the highways’ properties and, we were all a little alarmed, by the rather sticky residues left on our pavments during the summer. The Clerk was asked to raise the matter with the WCC Forestry Unit and has received an undertaking from them to pollard all of the trees prior to the growing season, early in the new financial year. We look forward to this cyclical pruning in April 2024.
