PREPARING FOR SPRING! COLIN SETS TO WORK AROUND HENLEY

PLANTERS:

Our town handyman Colin Harrison is beavering away as usual, this time concentrating on smartening up the approaches to town, set against the new entry gates installed by WCC paid for using matched funding from The Mount along with free planters provided by Earlswood Nurseries. The old circular containers are being repositioned to make way for the new planters and the following photographs show the progress being made. Once positioned, they will be given a fresh coat of paint to bring them back to life. The JPC have been in contact with Henley in Bloom and together, they are hoping to create one of the best displays at all four major approaches in to Henley for some time. Say hello to Colin and his team as you pass he really appreciates your support during these cold dark days of winter!

SANDBAGS:

As if that wasn’t enough work, Colin has also been filling sandbags to meet the needs of the town when flooding, which sadly, all to frequently occurs in town. You can collect your bags from the rear of the Church Hall at St Nicholas Church, Beaudesert Lane, or, if you are not able to yourself, contact the Clerk – clerk@henley-in-arden-pc.gov. uk
