Incidents of a public interest from the last two weeks:

STUDLEY

  • *Vehicle Crime. The Grove, Studley. Front and rear number plates stolen from car. Between 24th & 27th February. 0121 27/02/2020

MAPPLEBOROUGH GREEN

  • *Found Stolen Vehicle. Pratts lane, Mappleborough Green. White BMW found partially blocking the road by member of the public. Vehicle stolen from the West Mercia Police area. 6.55am Tuesday 18th February. 0042 18/02/2020

WOOTTON WAWEN

  • *Burglary Business. School, Wootton Wawen. Glass at the building smashed leaving a hole big enough for the premises to be entered. Nothing appeared to be stolen at the time of the report. 3am Thursday 27th February. 0019 27/02/2020

HENLEY

  • Suspicious Circumstances / Vehicle Seizure. Johnson Place, Henley. Report of three males from a red fiesta seen acting suspiciously in the area. They seemed to be looking at houses and the caller was concerned that they were up to no good. Police attended and stopped the occupants. It was found that they were canvassing in the area for new conservatories. Unfortunately their vehicle was not insured and was seized by police. 5.25pm Thursday 27th February. 0308 27/02/2020
  • *Attempted Burglary, Blunts Green, Henley. Offender(s) have tried to force open garage door. Entry not gained. Nothing stolen. Between 20th & 23rd February. 0273 23/02/2020
  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Market Way, Henley. Two males wearing hoodies seen acting suspiciously in the area, trying car doors. One of them also jumped over a fence towards Harris Way. No offences disclosed at the time. 1.30pm Saturday 22nd February. 0025 22/02/2020

EARLSWOOD

  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Malthouse Lane, Earlswood. Dark Blue Audi with tinted windows seen parked in the road. Two males from the car was seen to approach a house. Caller concerned that they were up to no good. No trace on police arrival. No offences disclosed. 3.40pm Friday 28th February. 0259 28/02/2020
  • *Burglary. Shutt Lane, Earlswood. Three secure sheds broken into a lawn mower stolen. Intel from the area suggest that the offender(s) were in a small Blue Ford SUV which drove off towards Shirley. A male was seen to get out leaving one person in the vehicle, possibly a woman. 1.15pm Wednesday 19th February. 0188 19/02/2020

TANWORTH

  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Bates Lane, Tanworth. Male seen on private land looking into skip. The man left in a Silver Citroen with a registration number ending in ‘HTD’. 1.45pm Wednesday 26th February. 0341 26/02/2020
  • *Burglary. Broad Lane, Tanworth. Secure shed and house broken into. Various items stolen, including power tools. Between 1030am and 1.30pm Wednesday 26th February. 0208 26/02/2020
  • *Burglary. Arden Leys, Tanworth. Coat stolen from porch of house. This contained cash and bank card. Between 7pm and 12 midnight Sunday 16th February. 0263 17/02/2020

ULLENHALL

  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Ullenhall Street, Ullenhall. Three males in a small brown coloured Peugeot saloon seen acting suspiciously in the area. One of the males was seen to walk away from private property. 12 midday Tuesday 25th February. 0415 26/02/2020

CLAVERDON

  • *Burglary. Church Road, Claverdon. Secure outbuilding broken into and various items stolen, including Stihl disc cutter, Makita cordless drill and builders laser level. Reported Friday 28th February. 0108 28/02/2020
  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Station Road, Claverdon. Report of an Asian Male from a Silver Skoda Octavia asking passers-by for money so he can look after his sick child. The vehicle was seen at several locations on this day. 1.10pm Thursday 27th February. 0168 27/02/2020

Action Fraud – Over the last few weeks we have been made aware of various ways that members of the public have received scam calls, texts and emails asking for personal details. The messages usually ask for people to follow links or to ring certain phone numbers.
