SOUTH WARWICKSHIRE LOCAL PLAN [SWLP] JUST 8 WEEKS TO VOICE YOUR OPINIONS!

The SWLP [SDC-WDC Joint Cabinet] has begun its consultancy programme, running from the 9th of January to the 6th of March 2023.

This period was extended from 6 to 8 weeks, thanks to pressure from a JPC Councillor attending an SDC-WDC Cabinet public meeting just prior to Christmas.

Even at eight weeks, time is short, so on this page, to help you figure out how this may affect the way our community may be impacted by the potential changes posed by the SWLP, please visit the SDC website here:

The JPC held the first of their Planning and Development meetings last night [16.01.2023] and elected a new Working Party dedicated to representing the folk of Henley in all engagements going forward.

[FULL MINUTES OF THAT MEETING WILL BE POSTED ON THIS SITE]

The JPC will hold one each month this year so that the community is informed and has a say on important changes affecting the future of our town.

The JPC, in a spirit of unbounded cooperation, will work closely with SDC and WDC going forward in order to ensure that the outcome is beneficial to the community, they will take up and amend the Henley Neighbourhood Plan to the approval and adoption stage, safeguarding just what development in the future is appropriate for the community.

Here are the meeting dates – PLEASE COME ALONG – Meetings Schedule 2023 – Henley in Arden Parish Council (henley-in-arden-pc.gov.uk)

UNITED PARISHES

Members of Wootton Wawen and Preston Bagot attended the meeting last night at the invitation of the JPC and a symposium of all local parishes will be organised in the coming weeks, dovetailing with other aspects of the SWLP so that all of our local Parishes are fully aware of progress and possible challenges.
